The world's leading cumbia group will perform at the opening ceremony of the2026 FIFA World Cup™in Mexico
TheCumbia Sin Fronteras 2026tour arrived in Buenos Aires this weekend, confirming Los Ángeles Azules’ massive success in Argentina, cementing their status as the leading representatives of cumbia, and wrapping up this leg of the tour with three sold-out concerts at the Movistar Arena.
Every night was full of surprises. In addition to enjoying the group’s classics and new hits such as “Entrega de amor,” “El listón de tu pelo,” “Cumbia del acordeón,” “Cumbia del corazón,” “Nunca es suficiente,” “Otra noche,” and “Amor a primera vista,” attendees witnessed several incredible duets: Yamie Safdie joined the Iztapalapa combo to sing “Las maravillas de la vida,” and Américo took the stage to perform “Como te voy a olvidar” and “20 rosas.” Both artists were present during all three nights.
Attendees at the show on the 29th also enjoyed the presence of Pablito Lezcano on the song “La cumbia del infinito” (the singer returned on Sunday the 31st) and Emilia, with whom they performed the hit “Perdonarte para qué.” Meanwhile, those who attended the concert on Saturday the 30th shared a great moment when Marcela Morelo appeared on stage to sing “Mi único amor.”
Over the course of the three nights, the show’s finale was an unbeatable moment with the performance of “17 años,” leaving the audience in high spirits and craving more cumbia.
TheCumbia Sin Fronteras 2026tour will continue with additional dates in Mexico and the United States. In addition, Los Ángeles Azules will return to Mexico City to take part in the World Cup festivities. On May 9, they will perform at theMéxico VibrashowalongsideAlejandro Fernández, Lucero, Benny, and Timbiriche, among others, and on May 11, they will participate in theopening ceremony in Mexico for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™.
